New Hangar at Clark - June 2, 2009

Spirit of Manila Airlines entered into agreement with ASC to use their Hangar to Maintain its growing fleet of passenger aircrafts. The joint venture agreement was signed between the two companies on the 29th of May 2009.

Hangar Project Delayed - May 8, 2009

After Spirit of Manila Airlines Hangar Groundbreaking last November, the Airline has received a letter from CDC stopping the project until further notice. The action by CDC has given the advantage to another Asian Competitor in the MRO business at clark who enjoys unlimited support. Spirit of Manila will continue the project once it receives the go signal from CDC. At present, Spirit of Manila Airlines is evaluating other option.

P1B hangar facility of Spirit of Manila Airlines to rise at DMIA

Ground Breaking

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga Nov. 9 (PNA) -- Officials of the Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) and Spirit of Manila Airlines led the groundbreaking ceremonies last Nov. 7 for the construction of a world-class P1-billion aircraft hangar facility at the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) here.

CIAC President Victor Jose I. Luciano and Spirit of Manila Airlines officials announced the construction of the aircraft hangar facility during simple groundbreaking rites at the 2,500 hectare Clark Civil Aviation Complex that will service the aircraft Fleet of Spirit of Manila Airlines which are slated to commence their international flights this November via DMIA.

The event was also attended by Transportation and Communication Undersecretary Doroteo Reyes, CIAC Executive Vice President Alexander Cauguiran, Vice President for Operations and DMIA General Manager Bienvenido Manga and other officials of Spirit of Manila Airlines. The facility is expected to generate over 1,000 jobs and completed by mid-2009. (PNA)
